About the name
Before the Cleddau Bridge opened in 1972, the main route of transport between the North and the South of Pembrokeshire, was by ferry between Neyland and Pembroke Dock. “The Alumchine” was one of these ferries.
Alumchine was an 80’s paddle steamer with a crew of 4 and was certified to carry 216 passengers.
We’re keeping this name alive and inviting you to be a part of it.
